Jill Zwagerman was born and raised in Sibley, Iowa. She attended Drake University where she earned a degree in broadcast news while also participating on the track team. After working in human resources for two years, Jill returned to Drake University where she earned her law degree in 2004.

Jill graduated with honors, was president of Drake Law Women, articles editor on the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law, Secretary of Delta Theta Phi, and Moot Court Team Captain.

Jill is currently a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, Iowa Employment Lawyers Association, Iowa Bar Association, Iowa Association for Justice, and Polk County Women Attorneys.  She is also a member of Blackstone Inn of Court.  Jill is focusing much of her practice on helping employees recover wages and overtime pay they are owed under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Jill lives in Ankeny, Iowa with her husband Scott and daughter Amelia.  She enjoys spending time with her family, running, kickboxing, and boating at Okoboji.
